Sizzling Keys is an iTunes controller that lets you do just that - and more - in an intuitive and unobtrusive way. That's why we make ease-of-use our top priority. Having all the features you can imagine is useless if the app is difficult and confusing to use. Place it anywhere you wish on the screen by simply dragging it. Mac menus and keyboards often use symbols for certain keys, including modifier keys: Command (or Cmd). For example, to use Command-C (copy), press and hold the Command key, then the C key, then release both keys. so I'll put one here just to align with the use of these boards. SizzlingKeys features a floating window that shows you the current track info. To use a keyboard shortcut, press and hold one or more modifier keys and then press the last key of the shortcut. It allows me to add a Global Macro that easily let me assign Option-Command-Spacebar to be my toggle for Play/Pause of the 'Music' app while I'm surfing the web or active in any other application and I don't have to look down at my keyboard for finding the F8 key or even think about it if I need to quickly pause a track from playing. I've been using ' Keyboard Maestro' application. ![]() After endless Googling on the web, I've found a solution that works well for me as my SizzlingKeys replacement. Now with moving onto Mac OS X Catalina 10.15 and the death of iTunes on the Mac, now rebranded the 'Music' application, using SizzlingKeys is no longer an option. I know I, like several Mac users, have enjoyed the benefits of SizzlingKeys key commands to Play/Pause iTunes without having to look down at my keyboard to find the F8 key.
