This guy is an elite talent that should be the top targets for the Titans passing game from day one. I expect the same to happen with the talented Burks. Chase had some concerns from fantasy owners, but quickly showed those were overblown during his rookie season. His situation really reminds me of Ja’Marr Chase last season. Willis is now the future of the team and his future certainly seems bright.Īnd while we are talking about the Titans, look for another rookie, Treylon Burks, to have a big rookie season and stick it to all his naysayers. And while he is not going to open the season as a starter for the Titans, I do think he could get in there at some point if the team shows any struggles. You can see why NFL scouts were so high on his ability. I was really impressed with rookie quarterback Malik Willis this preseason. I have zero shares of Tom Brady this season because of all this. He has to slow down at some point, right? And it looks like some off the field issues could be happening for him, which just clouds things even more. I know you can never count out Tom Brady, but you have to wonder what is going on with him and if he can continue to play at high level. I’m really high on the Vikings and anxious to see them get things underway. And don’t overlook Kirk Cousins, who I think can be a top-10 fantasy quarterback this season. I think Justin Jefferson is going to have a monster season in this offense. He is a great, young offensive mind that should create plenty of mismatches for the opposition. I think that offense could be really good with Kevin O’Connell taking over as the head coach. One team I’m really interested in watching this weekend is the Minnesota Vikings. Anyway you look at it, I think it will be another great season in the NFL with plenty of great storylines throughout the season. Justin Herbert is going to step up his game even more this season, playing at an MVP level. I just love the makeup of this team right now and think they will win it all. And I will go with the Chargers to win it all. So I have the Chargers and Eagles in the Super Bowl this year. The defensive line can get after the quarterback and the secondary is more than capable of making big plays with Darius Slay leading the way at cornerback. And while the defense had some issues last season, I think this unit has the talent to be pretty good. This unit is gong to score a lot of points with Jalen Hurts taking another step forward. The Eagles really upgraded the offense by adding receiver A.J. I am going to go with the Philadelphia Eagles as the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. So while I think the Rams might have the most talent in the NFC, I don't think they repeat. I don’t think you can overlook that impact that might have. ![]() The Rams won it all last year, but are in a tough division and a repeat is always very challenging, especially if you consider the league played more games last season. I think this conference is really up in the air. Now the NFC isn’t quite as loaded as the AFC. I like the Chargers to make a run, heading to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994. And the offense is absolutely loaded with a ton of talent across the board with quarterback Justin Herbert leading the way. ![]() The secondary also is very strong, having some of the best talent in all of football. The Chargers added help on defense, including defensive end Khalil Mack. I’m going against the grain, though, and picking the Los Angeles Chargers to make the Super Bowl out of the AFC. They were close last year and seem ready to take a step forward this season. Buffalo is everyone’s favorite to win it all and for good reason. I think there are several teams more than capable of making a Super Bowl run. I like to give my Super Bowl picks every season in this column. Now for my first random thoughts of the season. Hopefully, all your hard work pays off and leads you to a fantasy championship this season. These are the guys you think are going to carry your team to a fantasy championship. You finally get to see all your players in action. I’m not sure there is a better time of year for fantasy football players than this first week of the season. I say it every year but I think it bears repeating.
